The Solar Powered "Fresh Air" Skylight features a solar panel that captures any available daylight and uses it to recharge a highly efficient, fully concealed battery powered operator and control system. The battery powered operator is the power source that opens and closes the skylight. A rain sensor is built in to close the unit in the event that inclement weather arises while you're away. Factory paired remote controls for shades are included in all Skylight Systems for easy set-up and operation. Electric and solar venting Skylight Systems also include remotes pre-paired to open and close the skylights. Solar and electric venting Skylight Systems feature integrated rain sensors to close the skylights automatically at the first signs of inclement weather. All venting Skylight Systems include insect screens to prevent bugs and debris from entering the home through an open skylight. VELUX flashing is required to create a weathertight seal around deck- and curb-mount Skylight Systems, as well as to qualify for our 10-year installation warranty.
