Key points: manual roof windows can be retrofitted with electric or solar-driven shutters; electric operation requires the KUX 110 control unit (sold separately); the solar variant requires no separate control unit and is particularly simple to install.

Installation support
Installation support includes a printed manual in the packaging, an installation video and an installation app with animated guidance and augmented reality features to assist mounting.

Safety feature
After an attempted break-in the motor brake locks the shutter for 10 minutes; during this period the shutter is blocked, then the motor is released and normal operation resumes.

Heat protection study
Internal VELUX simulation (May–September, Hamburg) on a south-facing room with two roof windows (GGU 70, MK08) showed significant reduction of overheating when exterior roller shutters are installed.
