Overview
The EC230 Electric is built on the proven technology of the Volvo crawler excavator and combines full machine performance with the benefits of electrification. Operators benefit from lower noise, reduced vibration, more responsive hydraulics due to the electric motor, absence of exhaust fumes and a generally improved in-cab and on-site working environment.

Charging & Runtime
The EC230 Electric is equipped with a CCS2 connector and is delivered with a 22 kW charging cable for CEE socket charging. Charging and range details include: onboard 22 kW charging (via 400V/32A) with typical 10–12 hour full charge; 150 kW DC fast charging (CCS2) allowing recharge in about 80–90 minutes from empty; 40 kW portable charger (600V/66A) taking approximately 5–6 hours; available Power Unit solutions for fast charging at sites with limited grid capacity (input up to 125A/400V AC, output up to 150 kW). Indicative operating runtime (depending on application and duty cycle) is up to 4–5 hours and a full working day can be achieved with mid-shift fast charging.
