Description

EUROSLOT stainless steel structures allow buildings to be covered by a double skinned (or second layer) which will sometimes appear transparent and at other times opaque depending upon the intensity of light, the viewing angle and the observers position. CONSTRUCTION Wires are chosen with regard to the material effect required. Wires 180, 220 and 300 are lighter whilst 560 is more dramatic. The slot openings between the wires alters the impact or expression of the facing. Apertures from 2.5mm (50% open area) up to 50mm alters the transparency of the construction. It is also possible to to produce a variable slot opening within one panel to create perspective. The supports give the elements their rigidity and rods 10x2, 13x2 or 15x2 with spacings of 25, 50 or 100mm being most commonly specified. DIMENSIONS AND FORM Panels are dimensioned according to the substructure. The maximum recommended dimensions are 2M (wire direction) x 3M. Larger panels are possible upon request (we recommend that transport and handling be also considered in the case of larger panels). Our grids can be flat or curved (two dimensionally) in either the wire or rod direction. FRAMING AND FIXINGS Our grids may be fixed in different ways dependant upon the substructure: - Framing drilled for bolting - Fixing plates - Lugs/spigots - Tenons FINISH A natural finish is most common (satin). Pickling and passivation ensures resistance against corrosion.
