Description

Description
The GRANDEMARE OUTDOOR sofa, designed by Antonio Citterio in 2011 and adapted for outdoor use, transfers the functions and comfort of an indoor upholstered sofa to terraces, porches and patios. The seating system is modular and suited to both residential and contract outdoor installations.

Design and features
The system assembles soft geometric volumes without sharp corners on a compact laminated platform. The frame and structural elements are in AISI 316 stainless steel with an epoxy powder‑coat finish. An optional solid Iroko wood armrest acts as a practical top with an integrated compartment. The modules can be configured in multiple layouts and complemented by matching coffee tables made of solid Iroko slats with metal alloy spacers. Upholstery is removable and designed with water‑repellent laminate protection for outdoor performance.

Care
To preserve appearance and performance over time, use the dedicated waterproof covers when the furniture is not in use and follow periodic cleaning recommendations for outdoor textiles and stainless steel finishes.

  • Wood armrest/table: solid Iroko in finishes natural, grey stained, white lacquered or brown stained; supports and screws in AISI 316 stainless steel; spacers in die‑cast zamak with transparent epoxy powder‑coat finish.
  • Wood coffee table: solid Iroko with the same finish options and stainless steel fixings.
  • Backrest cushion with bolster: polyester fibre with water‑repellent covering.
  • Optional cushions: blown polyester fibre with water‑repellent covers (available on request, extra).
  • Upholstery: removable fabric covers.
  • Cover: waterproof protective cover available on request (extra).
