Description

The airport has one Terminal with two Concourses, A and B. In 2008 the Colonel H. Weir Cook Terminal was inaugurated between the two parallel runways of the airport. The new Terminal boasts a stunning glass-and-steel structure which has now become one of the city’s landmarks. Our Group was awarded with the engineering, production and installation of the high-performance curtain wall of four glass façades for the side entrances and the principal entrance of the Terminal. The landside façades as well as the enclosed pedestrian bridge are executed as a steel-stick façade covering an overall surface of around 7,000 sqm (75,350 sq ft). The airside façade features a curved profile with 1,100 sqm (11,800 sq ft) of sloped outwards steel-stick façade. On this front, the glazing of the connector corridors to the concourses were realized with the same system. In addition, the clerestory was carried out through aluminum standard façade. Scope of Work Landside façade, airside façade, pedestrian bridge, connector corridors of curtain walling as steel-stick façade; clerestory as aluminum façade for an overall area of 10,000 sqm (107,600 sq ft).
