Description

Overview
Ultibed Mortar CD is a two part, high performance polymer modified bedding mortar combining the performance benefits of a resin based material with the ease of use of a cementitious material. It is strong, rapid setting and particularly suited for areas of repeated failure and high stress. It has exceptional performance even in wet weather conditions and is fully compliant with DMRB CD 534 (formerly DMRB HA 104/09) and related requirements.

Typical applications
  • Bedding of inspection chamber frames and covers
  • Setts (all types)
  • Kerb stones
  • Gully grates and gully tops
  • Stanchion posts (all sizes)
  • Manhole covers
  • Inspection covers
  • All types of street furniture

Key benefits / features
  • Smooth mortar consistency and excellent finished texture
  • Controlled fast setting: short setting times with high compressive and flexural strength
  • 3D fibre reinforcement for final application strength and long-term durability
  • Good working time (approx. 15 minutes)
  • Rapid set and early strength — reduces construction and road closure times (suitable for planned and emergency repairs)
  • Designed for multiple uses and rapid installation/reinstatement of highway furniture
  • Works well in wet weather application situations

Additional information
The compressive and flexural strength data are derived from laboratory testing at 20°C. Working time and performance characteristics are based on standard test conditions.
