These systems can be used to create almost perfectly flush-fitted glass facades. It is achieved by using profiles which are only visible from inside. From the outside, only the glazing and a thin shadow joints are visible.
Double glazed units which are manufactured to include a SSG spacer bar which incorporates an ‘U’ channel. Structural silicone is used to bond each piece of glass to the spacer bar. Once the curtain wall grid has been assembled at site, these glass units locked into the grid using metal toggles which are specially designed.
Finally a compatible silicone is applied over the top of the vertical and horizontal joints to create a flush finish.
