Project needs The villa, inserted in a marvelous hilly landscape and built in the 1990s, was purchased and completely renovated in a contemporary style by the current owner. Articulated on three floors, the house was designed in line with the slope of the hill; surrounded by a vast green field and high shrubs, it is also graced by a square panoramic swimming pool. In order to be able to take advantage of the outdoor areas near the swimming pool, the client requested two identical shading solutions. On the ground floor, the building has large windows, the main one eight meters in size, which let light flood into the living room, therefore requiring a shading system for the sunniest season. Project features He first on-site visit took place when the building was still being renovated, in order to get some ideas on the dimensions of the two freestanding pergolas to be placed on the paved areas near the pool. To give a sense of continuity between the materials used inside and outside the house, dominated by wood and stainless steel, Velenda Rada was suggested, which is characterized by the unmistakable combination of brushed stainless steel cylindrical legs and an Iroko laminate wood structure. In order to bring out the clean and light lines of the external facade, Segno was chosen. This motorized arm awning, characterized by sophisticated geometry and extreme stylistic synthesis, was installed in white along the entire length of the opening of the large glass window.
