Description

Project needs A rooftop dining precinct designed to curve around a 25 metre tall Hills Weeping Fig planted in 1971 and includes water features and landscaped greenery throughout. It connect directly to a 10-screen cinema complex. Project features As part of a many millions refurbishment, Scentre Group designed a rooftop dining precinct at Westfield Miranda, the largest shopping centre in Sydney’s south. The precinct includes over 600sqm of Gibus Med 85 retractable roofs. Each was individually designed to suit the space. The roofs were produced in three different colourways to complement the tenancy designs. Retractable roofs were required to control the effects of the Australian sun, while allowing the precinct to maintain its rooftop identity. Along with a number of other new precincts including a new gourmet food market, a 3-level galleria fashion mall and al fresco casual dining offering, the development “will transform Westfield Miranda into the epicentre of gourmet convenience in Sydney’s south”, says Kate Holsgrove, Scentre Group Regional Manager.
