Product overview
The MAGNUM Cable is an electric heating cable engineered for installation in cement screeds. Cable spacing determines power per m², enabling higher power for faster response and higher surface temperatures or lower power for constant/low-temperature applications. The cable is flexible for straightforward installation and can be fixed to MAGNUM Isorol or dovetailed sheets with aluminium tape or to concrete mesh with tie-wraps. Spacer strips are available for direct floor mounting.

Installation methods
Two linear power versions are available: 10 W/m and 17 W/m. The 10 W/m cables are supplied in total powers from 100 to 1900 W, covering approximate floor areas of 1–20 m². The 17 W/m cables are supplied in total powers from 300 to 3300 W, covering approximate floor areas of 2–30 m². Each heating cable is looped at the end so the power feed is on one side only; this unique blind connection removes the need for a return to the thermostat. MAGNUM Cable is not suitable for use in lightweight concrete.

Additional notes
An advanced WiFi thermostat compensates for warm-up time so the floor reaches the required temperature when needed. Eliminating wall radiators provides layout freedom where primary heating allows.

Example calculations cable distance
To calculate cable spacing: divide the free floor area (m²) by the total cable power (W), then multiply the result by the linear wattage (10 or 17 W/m). The first two digits after the decimal indicate spacing in centimetres.

Examples:
500 W on 3 m² → (3 ÷ 500) × 17 = 0.102 → 10 cm spacing
1000 W on 7 m² → (7 ÷ 1000) × 17 = 0.119 → 11–12 cm spacing
