InstallationThe instructions provided by the NF P 98 335 standard and the CCTG booklet 29 prevail.
– Installation should be carried out between +5°C and +30°C on a sound substrate.
– Mortars are prepared or supplied as work progresses.
– The mortar bedding is leveled with a straightedge and placed progressively. Its thickness should be as uniform as possible (~4 cm).
– Pavers must be dampened particularly in hot conditions.
– During installation, blend products of different colors and shades from different batches.
– Joints are left between the pavers. Joints are filled with mortar no earlier than 24 h after laying and no later than 72 h after. Joint width should be as small as possible without being less than 5 mm.
– Immediately after jointing, the pavement must be cleaned to avoid any film or deposit on the surface of the pavers.
– Expansion joints must be provided in accordance with normative requirements (10 lm or 20 m²).
MaintenanceOriginal colors are very stable. Minimal maintenance is sufficient; a natural patina will develop over time. Application of a mineralizing treatment will facilitate cleaning and extend the lifespan of the original surface appearance. Use of high-pressure washers or acidic products is discouraged. De-icing salts should be used in reasonable amounts without excessive residual accumulation.
