INSTALLATION
The indications provided by standard NF P 98 335 and the CCTG booklet 29 prevail.
– Installation is carried out between +5°C and +30°C on a sound substrate.
– Mortars are prepared or supplied as work progresses.
– The bedding mortar is leveled with a straightedge and laid progressively. Its thickness should be as uniform as possible (~4 cm).
– Pavers must be moistened, particularly in hot weather.
– During installation, blend products of different colors or shades coming from different batches.
– Joints are left between the pavers.
Joints are made with mortar at the earliest 24 h after laying the pavers and at the latest 72 h after. Joint width is kept as small as possible while respecting the geometry of our products but not less than 5 mm.
– Immediately after jointing, the pavement must be cleaned to prevent any film or deposit on the surface of the pavers.
– Expansion joints must be provided in accordance with normative requirements (10 lm or 20 m²).

MAINTENANCE
– Original colors are very stable compared to other more open-cast concrete surfaces.
– Minimal maintenance is generally sufficient; natural patina develops over time.
– Applying a mineralizing treatment will facilitate cleaning interventions and extend the life of the original surface appearance.
– We strongly discourage the use of high-pressure washers or acidic products to avoid irreversible alterations.
– De-icing salts should be used in reasonable quantities, without excessive standing residues.
