INSTALLATION- Instructions given by standard NF P 98 335 and fascicle 29 of the CCTG take precedence.
- Installation should be carried out between +5°C and +30°C on a sound substrate.
- Mortars are prepared or supplied as work progresses.
- The bedding mortar layer is leveled with a screed and applied progressively; approximate thickness 4 cm, kept as uniform as possible.
- Paving units should be moistened, especially in hot weather.
- Mix products of different colours/levels from different batches during installation to ensure uniform appearance.
- Joints are left between paving units; joints are filled with mortar between 24 h and 72 h after laying; minimum width 5 mm depending on geometry.
- Clean the pavement immediately after jointing to avoid residues or film on the surface of the paving units.
- Provide expansion joints in accordance with normative requirements (10 linear m or 20 m²).
MAINTENANCE- Original colours are stable; minimal maintenance and natural patina over time.
- Applying a mineralising treatment facilitates cleaning and preserves the original surface appearance.
- Not recommended: high-pressure washers and acidic products (risk of irreversible alterations).
- Use de-icing salts in reasonable quantities, avoiding excessive stagnant residues.
