Product Overview
KINJOYA PU TAU is a single-component, high elastic, weather-resistant liquid-applied polyurethane waterproofing membrane. Formulated with an aliphatic system, it cures upon reacting with ambient moisture, forming a seamless, monolithic, highly elastic waterproofing membrane. It offers excellent crack-bridging ability, UV resistance, water-tightness, and mechanical strength. Suitable for exposed and non-exposed waterproofing applications on various building substrates.

Install Guide
Substrate Preparation: Substrate must be smooth, solid, clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, laitance, and loose debris. Substrate moisture content ≤ 9%; no standing water allowed. Grind sharp corners smooth; fill holes and cracks with specialized polyurethane putty to ensure a level transition. Apply a dedicated primer on porous concrete substrates to improve adhesion.
Environmental Requirements: Ambient temperature: 5°C – 35°C. Relative humidity: 40% - 85%. Do not apply during rain, snow, fog, or when wind speeds exceed Beaufort Scale 5. Protect the work area from water accumulation during application and curing.
Application Procedure: Mixing: Stir the material thoroughly before use. Do not add water, solvents, or thinners. Application method: roller, brush, or spray. Apply in 2-3 coats. Thickness control: total dry film thickness 1.2-2.0 mm (adjustable based on design). Lap joints: minimum 50 mm overlap between adjacent areas to ensure a seamless membrane. Curing protection: avoid foot traffic, impact, or ponding water during the 7-day full cure period.
Theoretical Coverage Rate
At 1.0 mm dry film thickness: 1.5-1.8 kg/m2. Actual coverage varies with substrate roughness and application method.

Storage and Safety

• Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse at 10°C - 30°C, away from fire and heat sources
• Keep containers tightly sealed after opening to prevent moisture ingress, skinning, or premature curing
• 12 months when stored in original, unopened containers under normal conditions
• Classified as ordinary, non-hazardous coating
