Product informationStair treads are fitted at the front edge with a perforated, specially shaped angle section (safety nosing) welded to the endplate and the load-bearing bar. The nosing increases slip resistance and reinforces the tread. Options include non-slip steel flooring (chequer plate) or checker plate variants. Production can be adapted to customer-specific requirements and to deviating foreign standards.
Compliance and accessibilityFor publicly accessible staircases, a maximum free gap of 120 mm between treads is increasingly required. A 70 mm-high nosing is used to meet this specification and complies with ÖNORM B 5371, which for rises up to 190 mm permits a maximum step-through height of 120 mm.
