LIME SCREED by OIKOS is a screed formulated with lime putty. It is non shrinking, filling, smoothing and easily to apply. Adhesion is very good on exterior surfaces. The product creates a stable link with the surface, maintaining the high level of vapour permeability of the surface. LIME SCREED IS available in three texture grades: LARGE, MEDIUM and FINE. The products high level of alkalinity means that it is able to prevent the development of mould and bacteria. It has a low odour level, is non inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment. Ideal use Exterior surfaces of prestigious / historically important buildings. Surface preparation The surface must be dry and mature, new plasters should be left to mature at least 30 days to allow complete carbonation of the support. Clean the surfaces and remove loose and flaking materials. In case of restoration works, water infiltrations and leakages must be repaired. On powdering surfaces it is advisable to first apply SEALER FOR LIME CYCLES by OIKOS. Application method Using a stainless steel trowel apply one or two coats of LIME SCREED by OIKOS according to the desired thickness. Wait 24 hours before applying finish products. Protect the surface from the rain during the first 24-48 hours from the application.
