DescriptionPLANICLEAR® is the new clear float glass from Saint‑Gobain. Designed to meet current market needs, it replaces PLANILUX. Less tinted and more transparent, it improves aesthetic appearance and reduces architectural constraints, giving designers greater freedom.
ApplicationsPLANICLEAR® is a clear float glass with enhanced optical and aesthetic properties. Typical interior applications include:
- interior fit-out and decoration: doors, partitions, shower screens
- furniture: tabletops, shelves
Exterior uses follow standard glass applications:
- shopfronts and storefront glazing
- double and triple glazing for façades
- street furniture
- etc.
PLANICLEAR® is also a common base glass for processing:
- enameled or screen-printed glass
- laminated and tempered glass
- coated glass
- etc.
AdvantagesGREATER TRANSPARENCYWith higher light transmission than traditional clear glass, PLANICLEAR® helps create bright interiors. Its clarity is particularly noticeable in thick monolithic or laminated applications: partitions, interior doors, shower enclosures, shop windows, etc.
SLIGHTLY BLUISH TINTIts very light bluish tint highlights decorative elements such as tabletops, shelves and counters.
BETTER COLOUR RENDERINGHigh transparency ensures faithful colour rendering, ideal for shop windows (retail, museums, furniture, etc.). Because it does not alter colours, PLANICLEAR® is particularly suitable for lacquering, enamelling and white or pastel colour concepts.
