Mounting & installation
The cover is attached to the mounted flush‑mounted unit, the connection is made via the provided pins. Prior to mounting the corresponding universal dimmer insert (flush‑mounted unit) must be installed; the cover alone is not operational. After power is restored the device enters learning mode for system inclusion.

Compatibility & control
The cover is part of the Homematic IP ecosystem: it allows local manual operation and can be controlled in parallel via app, remote or automations. Buttons can be assigned in the app to individual devices or complete lighting scenes.
