The Standard, East Village NYC Hotel (formerly known as Cooper Square Hotel) is a luxury hotel in the Bowery in the heart of Manhattan. The building is a 72.8 m (239 ft) high tower with 23 stories and a 3-story townhouse. The inclined main façade is designed as a unitized curtain wall system with units of varying heights and widths creating a complex 3D shape. The polygonal floor plan changes from floor to floor. Double glazing - with low iron glass, high performance coating and enamelled solid fritted glass - creates the idea of a “white arching shape”.
Scope of Work
4,500 sqm (48,400 sq ft) of unitized curtain wall and aluminum cladding.
