Product Overview
KINJOYA FA PLAIN is an APP (atactic polypropylene) polymer-modified bitumen waterproofing membrane formulated with selected bitumen, APP polymers and additives to deliver heat resistance, strong adhesion and low-temperature flexibility. A chemically stable polyester non-woven central reinforcement provides mechanical strength and dimensional stability. Both faces are protected by an ultra-thin polyethylene film that retracts during torch application to aid installation and protect the membrane from contamination.

Application
Designed for waterproofing building elements including roofs, walls, foundations and planter boxes. Primary uses include industrial, commercial and residential roofing systems where torch-applied, reinforced APP membranes are specified.

Install Guide

• Apply over clean, dry, dust- and debris-free substrates. Prime required substrates before installation.
• For re-roofing, remove previous roofing down to a clean substrate and properly seal abandoned penetrations.
• Do not install over shingles or granulated surfaces.
• Installation steps: a) Start at the roof low point. b) Unroll and allow the membrane to relax, then re-roll once relaxed. c) Install with traditional torch roofing techniques, ensuring full burn-off of the release film and correct heating of the membrane; pay attention to sidelaps.
• Flashings and details may be completed with hot asphalt, cold-application or torch methods as project specifications require.

Storage

• Store upright in a cool warehouse, retain inner supports and keep on pallets with original protective film intact. Limit stacking to two pallets, using dunnage between layers.
• Protect from direct sunlight, heat sources, freezing temperatures, organic solvents and impacts.
• Product is suitable for long-term storage when recommended conditions are observed.
• All values are nominal at time of manufacture; actual performance may vary with application method, substrate and environmental conditions.
