KIN FLXDO HP is an EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) polymer waterproofing membrane formulated with butyl rubber, vulcanizing agents, accelerators, plasticizers and reinforcing additives. Manufactured by internal mixing, calendering, extrusion and vulcanization, it is designed for projects requiring long-term watertight performance and dimensional stability.

Application
Suitable for waterproofing building structures including roofs, walls, foundations and planter boxes. Typical sectors: industrial, commercial and residential roofing and below-grade waterproofing.

Installation guide

• Additional layer construction: Reinforce details at internal/external corners, pipe penetrations and drains with a supplementary layer (compatible coating or added membrane patch) to ensure leak-prone zones are protected.
• Adhesive application: Place the membrane on a clean, dry substrate. Apply a recommended adhesive evenly to both membrane and substrate using a long-handled roller; avoid re-brushing the same area to prevent gel formation. Use a brush for small or irregular zones. Allow adhesive to become substantially non-sticky before laying the membrane.
• Membrane laying: Start from the downhill side and mark a reference line. Align the membrane lengthwise perpendicular to slope direction. Methods: full spreading, strip spreading, spot spreading or floating. Typical adhesive consumption: full spreading 0.33 kg/m²; spot spreading 0.22 kg/m²; strip spreading 0.20 kg/m²; floating 0.10 kg/m²; overlaps 0.10 kg/m².
• Air expulsion and compaction: After laying each roll, use a soft long-handled roller across the width to expel trapped air and ensure intimate contact with the substrate.

Storage

• Store membranes and compatible adhesives in a cool, ventilated, dry warehouse away from heat sources. Recommended storage temperature: -15°C to 35°C; relative humidity 50%–80%.
• Adhesives may contain organic solvents and are flammable; store separately and away from ignition sources.
• Avoid contact with strong oxidizers, concentrated acids/bases and incompatible solvents to prevent additive degradation or accelerated aging.
• During transport, protect rolls from compression, impacts, sunlight and rain; keep original packaging intact and avoid contact with sharp objects.
