Product Description
KINJOYA FA MINERAL is an APP-modified bituminous waterproofing membrane surfaced with mineral granules. It combines premium bitumen modified with atactic polypropylene (APP) polymers and additives with a chemically stable polyester non-woven reinforcement, providing high heat resistance, strong adhesion and dimensional stability for roofing and exposed waterproofing applications.

Suitable for waterproofing exposed roofs, decks, walls, foundations, planter boxes and other building structures in industrial, commercial and residential projects.

Install Guide

• Apply over clean, dry, dust- and debris-free substrates; use a compatible primer before installation.
• For re-roofing, remove existing roofing down to a clean substrate and seal abandoned penetrations.
• Do not install over asphalt shingles or other granulated surfaces.
• Installation steps:
  • a. Start at the lowest point of the roof.
  • b. Unroll and allow the membrane to relax, then re-roll before placement.
  • c. Install using traditional torch roofing techniques: fully torch the release film to create a pool of molten asphalt and ensure proper sidelap welding.
• Details and flashings may be set with hot asphalt, approved cold-applied materials or torch techniques; follow project specifications.

Storage

• Store upright in a cool warehouse, on pallets with inner supports and original protective film intact; stack maximum two pallets with dunnage between layers.
• Protect from direct sunlight, heat sources, freezing, organic solvents and mechanical damage.
• When stored under these conditions the product is suitable for long-term storage.
• Values provided are nominal at time of manufacture; actual performance depends on application method, substrate and site conditions.
