Overview
KINJOYA FM PLAIN is a flexible waterproofing membrane produced by impregnating and coating asphalt modified with SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) thermoplastic elastomer, using polyester felt, fiberglass felt or fiberglass-reinforced polyester felt as reinforcement, and finished on both sides with a polyethylene film.

Application
Designed for waterproofing building structures including walls, foundations and planter boxes, with primary use in industrial, commercial and residential roofing systems.

Install Guide

• Apply only over clean, dry, dust- and debris-free substrates. Use a primer where required before application.
• For re-roofing, remove existing roofing down to a clean substrate and properly seal any abandoned roof penetrations.
• Do not apply over shingles or granulated surfaces.
• While installing KINJOYA FM PLAIN:
  • a. Start at the low point of the roof.
  • b. Unroll the membrane, allow it to relax, then re-roll before installation.
  • c. Install using traditional torch roofing techniques: fully torch off the release film to create an asphalt pool and ensure correct sidelap sealing.
• Details and flashings may be set with hot asphalt, cold-applied adhesives or torch methods depending on project requirements.

Storage

• Store upright in a cool warehouse, retaining inner supports and original protective film. Place on pallets; stack no more than two pallets with dunnage between layers.
• Protect from direct sunlight, heat sources, freezing temperatures, organic solvents and physical impact.
• Product is suitable for long-term storage when recommended conditions are maintained.
• All data are nominal manufacturing values; actual performance may vary with application method, substrate condition, environmental factors and product configuration.
