Product overview
Modular structural joints with rotation movement between the metal wings and the synthetic rubber insert. Designed to accommodate structural movements in large or compound buildings. Installed at the gaps between two semi-attached parts of the same building or between different spans, they allow vertical, horizontal and transverse movements, both cyclic and permanent. Within the modules created by the structural joints, additional fractionation of the surface with a lattice of fraction joints must be provided depending on the type of traffic on the surface.

How to install joints JOINTEC GRL

• Slide the central metal insert into the side flanges.
• Snap the synthetic rubber (Resinprene) insert into the profile before aligning and positioning the expansion joint on site.
• If necessary, protect the rubber insert with masking tape to avoid contamination during laying.
• Anchor the side flanges to the substrate with appropriate anchors: 7 anchors per metre (i.e. one every 30 cm) in parallel on both sides.
• Build the mortar bed over the side flanges and install tiles or finishes as normal.

Jointec GRL-A in Natural Aluminum + Resinprene Insert
Profile width = 78 mm, bridges a 56 mm gap. Extruded aluminium profile offering good resistance to chemical and mechanical stress and wear. The 47 mm-wide Resinprene insert provides high elasticity. For outdoor applications brass profiles (Jointec GM) are recommended.

Notes
Suitable for structural movements in large or compound buildings; allows vertical, horizontal and transverse movement and rotation between metal wings and synthetic rubber insert. Further fractionation (fraction joints lattice) of the surface within modules is required depending on pedestrian or vehicle traffic.
