Product overview
The JOINTEC GAS structural sliding floor joint is designed for installation under floor finishes (tiles, stone, etc.) and above the slab. It is intended for interstitial spaces between building sections and is suitable for commercial buildings, airports, parking garages and railway stations with pedestrian and light-vehicle traffic. Installation must follow the building's structural evaluation and project specifications.

Technical features — JOINTEC GAS

• Two anchoring flanges placed under the flooring; the perforated flange retains tile adhesive and forms a single, solid anchoring element with the adhesive.
• Horizontal movement is absorbed by sliding central flanges that interlock: +2.5 / -2.5 mm.
• Sliding components reduce dirt and dust accumulation.
• The interlock between central flanges and lateral supports allows vertical movement to compensate structural stresses: +5 / -5 mm.

Materials and finishes
JOINTEC GAS is manufactured in aluminium (natural or anodized finishes). Aluminium is sensitive to alkaline substances: evaluate the presence of chemicals before installation. Mortars, cements and adhesives in contact with humid environments can cause aluminium deterioration and aluminium hydroxide formation. Remove mortar, cement and adhesive residues carefully prior to installation.

Installation notes

• Install the joint according to the structural study and the project specifications for the interstitial spaces between building sections or bays.
• Fixation is provided by two perforated anchoring flanges placed under the flooring; these are bonded with tile adhesive to form a single anchoring element.
