DescriptionEGLAS is available in single, double or triple glazing. It integrates almost invisibly into window frames, glazed bays and conservatories, like conventional insulating glazing. Thanks to a laser treatment of the conductive layer, the new generation of EGLAS dynamic glazing operates without an electrical transformer. Installation is simpler and more discreet: each glazed unit is connected directly to the mains, like a conventional electric heater.
Results: no risk of wiring errors and no series connection of multiple glazed units.
EGLAS is a
transparent, radiant heated glass. It improves thermal, visual and hygienic comfort.
ApplicationsThe functions of EGLAS glazing make it suitable for many applications:
Exterior:- windows, roof windows and glazed bays
- conservatories and glazed roofs
- façades
Interior:- partitions and doors
- glass floor panels
EGLAS can be integrated into most existing window or glazed bay frames. Other applications are possible for specific projects (tertiary building façades and glazed roofs, internal partitions, etc.).
CompatibilityEGLAS is always supplied with enhanced thermal insulation and can be combined with:
- STADIP® SILENCE to improve acoustic comfort
- STADIP® PROTECT and SP510 (also SP 514, SP 615) to obtain safety glazing
- COOL-LITE® SKN 165 to provide solar control (also COOL-LITE® XTREME 61/29 on request)
Benefits- WINTER COMFORT: Uniform, gentle radiant heat provides pleasant thermal comfort without drying the air. EGLAS removes the cold-surface sensation and allows full use of the area close to glazed elements.
- VISUAL COMFORT: The heating layer is invisible and prevents condensation that obstructs the view. EGLAS can eliminate the need for conventional radiators and saves space.
- HYGIENIC COMFORT: Unlike convectors, EGLAS does not generate drafts or move dust, reducing allergy risks. Smooth and easy to clean, it emits no volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
- ENERGY EFFICIENCY: The perceived comfort temperature is approximately the average of air temperature and surface temperature.
