The headquarters building for NRGi, one of the largest electricity suppliers in Denmark, is a fitting testament to the company’s commitment to energy conservation. The NRGi was the first office building to respond to rigorous energy efficiency legislation introduced in Denmark in 2007.Each element of the building – from its distinctive façade to its orientation – was carefully considered. The orientation and form of the atrium roof was designed to minimise heat radiation while maximising natural daylight and solar protection. The Texlon® ETFE system was printed with a frit pattern to deflecting solar heat away from the interior space. The three layer inflated Texlon® ETFE system offers increased thermal insulation.
