Description
Following the successful development, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre designed by Design Inc. Melbourne is now one of Adelaide’s best concert and theatre venues. The Orb – the large domed entry facilities – comprises two layers of Texlon® ETFE foils. The white and transparent ETFE foils can be illuminated by LED systems that are capable of providing over 16.7 million colours. The LED system is fully programmable to provide virtually any range of colour patterns.
The Adelaide Entertainment Centre now boasts an arena with a 12,000 capacity as well as a theatre with a capacity of 2,500. The installation of the Texlon® ETFE inflated panel system was performed using rope access techniques. This combined with Vector Foiltec’s unique trafficable netting system enabled other trades to work below without significant exclusion zones.
