Description

Architectural Design & Research of HIT and Nadel & Hwa Associates selected Texlon® ETFE as the cladding for this complex elliptic form of this stadium. Texlon® ETFE has an exceptionally long life span and is low maintenance as it self-cleanses under the action of rain, making it an ideal option for large projects such as stadiums in terms of efficiency and maintenance.Individual Texlon® ETFE panels can be patterned to virtually any shape or size – depending on local site conditions – to create individual and stunning venues. This feature, combined with its exceptional durability and low maintenance, made Texlon® ETFE cladding the natural choice to cover the stunning elliptic Dalian Sports Centre Stadium. The large panel size allowed for a reduction in the supporting steelwork and associated aluminium extrusions.Texlon® ETFE cladding combines creativity, technology, and sustainability. Vector Foiltec takes the lead in developing methods that add economic, environmental and social value to communities and industry. We pride ourselves on being the only Texlon® ETFE manufacturer with an independently-verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) in accordance with ISO 14025:2006 and EN15804. (An EPD is a voluntary document, focusing on the environmental impacts associated with the manufacturing of a product or system, and demonstrates that a product has been subjected to rigorous testing to ensure quality.)
