In the heart of London's Westminster, close to Victoria Station stands Cardinal Place, a highly innovative building. Approximately 46 m high, the 10-story structure il located opposite to the Westminster Cathedral on Victoria Street and Palace Street.
Scope of Work
The 38,500 sqm (414,400 sq ft) envelope boasts a variety of different façade types, each a function of the building's shape and layout. The main elevation (total area 11,500 sqm - 123,80 sq ft) took the form of single-skin, storey-height, unitized curtain walling. A steel façade, double-height in places, total area 4,800 sqm (51,700 sq ft), was delivered to the site in the form of 9-12 m long steel frames. Internal atrium façade, total area 7,500 sqm (80,700 sq ft); four different bridge façades, total area 4,000 sqm (43,000 sq ft); internal cladding, total area 1,700 sqm (18,300 sq ft).
