Description
4BIRD® FRIT combines a screen-printed patterned pane with a coated thermal insulating glass, with or without solar protection. This combination creates a visible contrast that helps birds perceive the façade glazing and reduces collision risk. 4BIRD® FRIT supports building energy-performance objectives while protecting biodiversity.

The 4BIRD® FRIT range offers solutions for all project types, including new-build and renovation, residential and non-residential. It addresses clients and project owners wishing to protect birds from collision risk and contributes to points for LEED certification (Pilot Credit #55: bird collision deterrence).
The coated glasses selected for the 4BIRD® FRIT range have low visible reflectance (below 15%). Multiple compositions are possible depending on solar protection and thermal insulation requirements.
Standard glazed sizes for the 4BIRD® FRIT range are 4 200 x 2 000 mm. Other sizes: available on request from the manufacturer or processor.

Performance
The 4BIRD® FRIT range benefits from the properties and performance of coated glasses such as COOL-LITE® XTREME, SKN and ECLAZ®. The entire range has been evaluated as "bird friendly" by the American Bird Conservancy (ABC). The Threat Factor (TF) used by ABC assesses material effectiveness: a glazing is considered bird-friendly if its TF is ≤ 30. The range meets criteria that enable birds to perceive the glazing and limit collision risk.
