Description

Description
The LITE-POINT® system is a glass rainscreen cladding designed for ventilated façades and interior facing panels. It is suitable for residential and commercial buildings, both new construction and renovation. The system consists of an external enamelled glass skin fixed by through-fixings to aluminium horizontal rails that are attached to the primary structure. It is particularly compatible with external thermal insulation (ETICS) as it protects insulating materials. The system is delivered ready to install, including glass, fixings and horizontal support rails.

Applications
LITE-POINT® enables fully glazed façades. A wide range of colours, patterns and digital prints allows façades to stand out or blend with their surroundings. Coloured spacers and lacquered screws can be used to minimize visibility of through-fixings.

Advantages
  • Aesthetics: allows fully glazed façades with homogeneous or contrasting appearance; multiple colours, reflection levels, patterns and prints for façade customization.
  • Easy installation: glass delivered ready to install with all necessary components, simplifying installation and replacement in case of breakage.
  • Cost-effective: economical solution compared with other glass cladding systems.
  • Compatible glass ranges:
    • SECURIPOINT® enamelled glass (tempered and HST-treated according to EN 14179)
    • EMALIT® EVOLUTION: opaque monochrome glass (21 standard colours)
    • SERALIT® EVOLUTION: opaque screen-printed glass (up to 4 colours)
    • PICTUREit®: digital enamel printing for custom images or decorations
  • Safety and durability: options for laminated safety glass and specific HST treatments to meet regulatory and use requirements.
  • Usage environment: approved for most constructions in metropolitan France, including seismic zones; suitable for seaside locations with corrosion-treated metal parts; compatible with timber, masonry and concrete structures.
  • Innovation: recent Technical Approval permits the use of variable-height washers to compensate differing glass thicknesses at the same façade level, easing and speeding installation without additional secondary frame adjustment.

Performance requirements
Different glass compositions are required depending on façade location:
  • Within 2.50 m from ground level: 10 mm glass required.
  • Above circulation areas: laminated safety glass must be used.
  • Elsewhere on the façade: monolithic glass may be retained depending on design.

Technical characteristics / specifications
  • System type: glass rainscreen cladding for ventilated façades.
  • Composition: external enamelled glass skin (EMALIT®, SERALIT®, PICTUREit® options) + through-fixings + aluminium horizontal rails + primary structure.
  • Compatible glass: tempered enamelled glass with HST (SECURIPOINT®), opaque and printed glass ranges as listed.
  • Delivery: components supplied ready to install (glass, fixings, horizontal rails).
  • Adaptability: compatible with ETICS, timber frames, masonry and concrete; seaside solutions with corrosion-treated metal parts.
  • Compliance and safety: possibility to use laminated safety glass per regulations; variable-height washers validated for installation with differing glass thicknesses.
  • Main regulatory constraints:
    • 10 mm glass within 2.50 m of ground.
    • Laminated safety glass above circulation areas.
    • Monolithic glass allowed elsewhere depending on design.
