Description

Overview
The Metos Viking 4G 60S is a 60 L electrically powered, steam-jacketed cooking kettle manufactured in Finland. The unit is supplied without a mixer and offers temperature control for precise cooking processes. With a 600 mm pouring-spout height to floor and ergonomic raised controls, the kettle is designed for professional kitchen workflows, ease of cleaning and efficient energy use.

Construction
The kettle has a double jacket and is electrically powered while steam is supplied from an external generator. Standard fitted bowl panels are fully insulated with a reflective foam pad for up to 90% energy efficiency. Options include polyurethane insulation and seamless welded bowl construction. Installation options: surface-mounted, recessed or free-standing.

Control panel
The large electromechanical control panel is ergonomically raised and IPX5 protected. Controls provide temperature setting, tilting operation and jacket water level indication with a simple turn-and-select logic and an emergency stop button.

Heating function
Temperature range in the steam jacket: 0°C … 120°C. Maximum operating pressure 1.0 bar (corresponds to 120°C in the inner jacket). Design pressure 1.5 bar.

Tilting functions
Electric tilting is operated by push-button for fast and safe emptying. Pouring spout to floor height is 600 mm, compatible with MPT 450 decanting trolley.

Occupational safety
Tilting is activated only by button; an easily visible emergency stop is fitted for immediate shutdown.

Automatic food water filling (Option)

Automatic water filling to jacket (Option)
Automated jacket filling is available to remove the need for manual filling.

Extra power socket (Option)
230 V 16 A socket outlet can be fitted to the rear of the control panel.

Digital temperature display (Option)
Product temperature can be shown on the control panel, typically used with mixers for precise control.
