Description

Product description
The Metos Viking Combi 4G 400S (MG4224234) is a Finland-made direct-steam mixing kettle designed for simultaneous mixing and cooking. Automated controls reduce supervision needs and the unit is engineered for easy operation, cleaning and high energy efficiency.

Design and cleaning
User controls are raised and IPX5 protected. All user-contact parts are removable without special tools and dishwasher-safe. The removable mixing tool features large-area blades and detachable Teflon scrapers. The stainless-steel lid includes a removable safety grid for adding liquids and ingredients.

Standard delivery includes
  • Viking Combi Kettle 4G with 2 mixing programs
  • Hydraulic tilting
  • Raised control panel
  • Emergency stop controls
  • Accessory hooks
  • Mixing tool
  • Lift-off safety grid lid
  • Separate measuring stick
  • Support pillar

Construction and insulation
Manufactured in stainless steel (EN 1.4404). Bowl insulated with reflective foam for up to 90% energy efficiency. Option: closed-cell polyurethane foam insulation for greater bowl strength and seamless cover welding.

Control panel
Ergonomically raised electromechanical control panel with temperature and mixer settings and an emergency stop. Optional features can be factory-installed.

Heating function
Temperature range 0°C–120°C with 1°C setting accuracy in the steam jacket. Maximum jacket pressure 1.0 bar (equivalent to +120°C inner jacket temperature).

Installation
Units can be floor-mounted with surface or sub-surface frame kits (option) or ordered free-standing (FS option). Multiple kettles can share a central control pillar to save space under a canopy.

Mixer features
Maintenance-free auto-reverse mixer for mixing and whipping; heavy-duty version available. Bottom-mounted mixing tool reverses automatically and mixes gently to avoid product damage. Seals are positioned above product level to prevent leaks. Mixing speed adjustable in steps from 20–120 rpm. Mixer locks when tilted for mixing during decanting. Mixer stops immediately if lid is opened. Two preset programs: 1) Soups (gentle stir/rest), 2) Sautéing (powerful back-and-forth).

Tilting and occupational safety
Hydraulic tilting operated by push-button. Tilting height to floor 600 mm (compatible with MPT 450 decanting trolley). Mixing stops instantly if lid opened; opening during mixing triggers alarm and displays an activated timer. Mixing with lid open in upright position is prevented by safety interlocks.
