Description

Overview
The Metos Viking 4G cooking kettle is manufactured in Finland as a professional, electrically powered tilting kettle designed for high-volume food production. The unit is steam-jacketed (steam supplied from an external generator) and does not include an integrated mixer. Temperature-controlled operation, washable removable parts and ergonomic raised controls make it suitable for commercial kitchens requiring hygiene, efficiency and compliance with EU safety standards.

Delivery includes
  • Viking 4G kettle complete with hydraulic tilting (600 mm pouring height)
  • Stainless steel lid
  • Ergonomic, fully raised control panel
  • Emergency stop controls
  • Accessory hooks
  • Separate measuring stick
  • Support pillar
  • Stainless steel construction (EN 1.4404)

Construction
The kettle features a double jacket and is electrically powered, receiving steam from an external steam generator. Standard bowl panels are fully insulated with a reflective foam pad delivering up to ~90% energy efficiency. Optional polyurethane foam insulation and seamless welded bowl construction are available. Installation can be surface-mounted, recessed or free-standing according to site requirements.

Control panel
The large electromechanical control panel is ergonomically positioned and fully raised above spray zones. Controls include temperature setting, tilting control and jacket water level indicator, plus an emergency stop. Simple turn-and-select operation. Panel protection rating IPX5.

Heating function
Temperature in the steam jacket is adjustable from 0°C to 120°C. Maximum operating pressure in the steam jacket is 1.0 bar (approx. +120°C); design pressure is 1.5 bar.

Tilting functions
Hydraulic tilting provides powerful, reliable discharge at the press of a button. Pouring spout height to floor is 600 mm, compatible with decanting trolleys for efficient transfer of product.

Handshower options
  • S1 Standard
  • S2 Heavy Duty
  • S3 Reel-in hand shower
